Kimberly is a Wealth Advisor and the Director of Financial Planning at Beacon Wealth Consultants, Inc. As such, much of her work is done in the background before and after client meetings researching and running the numbers to keep things on track and answer the important questions:
“How do we accomplish this most tax-efficiently?”
“When should I file for Social Security?”
“Which pension option makes the most sense?”
“Am I saving enough to retire when I want?”
“Is this goal realistic given my resources?”
“Will I run out of money?”
“Do I need more/different insurance coverage?”
“Am I taking on an appropriate level of risk?”
“What if ______ happens?”
Kim also serves on the Investment Committee and coordinates with our Chief Investment Officer on many of the day-to-day details associated with managing and trading our clients' accounts. She started out as our intern during her junior year at Liberty University then stayed on as our Marketing Coordinator and later Client Services Manager before assuming her current roles. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Liberty in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in both Financial Planning and Marketing. Kim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, holds the Certified Kingdom Advisor® designation, and recently earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation.
While attending Liberty, Kim found a passion for stewardship and helping people understand God’s design for their money. She loves helping people set goals and attain them, while also leaving a meaningful legacy for both their kids and the Kingdom that goes beyond just dollars and cents.
Kim grew up in the Hardy/Smith Mountain Lake area of Franklin County and graduated with honors from Franklin County High School. She now lives in Vinton and attends Eastlake Community Church in Moneta where you’ll usually find her on stage helping lead worship. She also enjoys playing the piano and guitar, reading, traveling, craft projects, cheering on her Alma Mater (GO FLAMES!), and spending time outdoors.
Investments & Wealth Institute® (the Institute) is the owner of the certification marks “CIMA,” and “Certified Investment Management Analyst.” Use of CIMA, and/or Certified Investment Management Analyst signifies that the user has successfully completed the Institute’s initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for investment management professionals.
